The king of fruits holds court this season. "Mango is high on nutrition, low in fat and is a good source of vitamin A and C,


  2 kg Green Mango
  5 Liter water
 100 gms Cumin (dry-roasted and ground)
  50 gms Red chili powder
 700 gms Sugar
 200 gms Mint leaves (chopped)
 400 gms Aamchur powder
 200 gms  Boondi (for garnish)


Place the mangoes in a saucepan cover with water and bring to boil. Then lower the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Drain off the water, peel, stone and pulp the mango. To the pulp add water, sugar, salt, chili, amchur and cumin. Whisk thoroughly, add mint leaves and whisk again. Garnish with boondi and mint leaves and serve chilled.
